Brilliant will run a charitable foundation for Google that demonstrates their commitment to making the world a better place. Google has pledged 3 million company shares, which is the equivalent of $1.1 billion. Brilliant is best known for co-founding the Well, an online community started in the mid-1980's.

What an interesting article I stumbled on. I love how everyone referred to the net as WWW. It's amazing how different the world is now and how far Google has grown. It went from being about partnerships to world domination.
